možda ću morati na još jednu kiretažu, a s obzirom da je zadnja bila kao iz horor filmova sa lokalnom i apaurinom koje kao da i nisam primila zanima me jel se uz dojenje smije koja druga anestezija npr. opća i kako to onda izgleda. ne želim ni pod koju cijenu prestati s dojenjem na više od pola dana jer me strah da mi se uništi ponuda i potražnja koju sam sada uz dosta muke uspostavila.

Ja sam prije neki dan bila na kiretazi, anestezija u venu. Anesteziologinja mi je rekla da preskocim jedno ili dva dojenja, odnosno onoliko koliko ostanem kod njih u bolnici. Naime, nije rijec o necemu zestokom. Izdojila sam se jednom jer su mi se cice jako napunile, otprilike sat ili dva prije nego li je malena cicala. Dojila sam je sest sati nakon kiretaze jer su me pustili doma ranije, obzirom da dojim. Curica mi ima 16 mjeseci.
Nisam napomenula, opca anestezija.
LLLI kaže da mame smiju dojiti nakon opće čim se osjećaju dovoljno snažne/sposobne da doje. (npr, u drugim zemljama se i mamama koje su rodile carskim rezom djeca daju odmah na podoj, bez obzira na anesteziju)

Many women are simply told to stop breastfeeding when they need surgery and anesthesia. In addition to the logistical difficulty of allowing breastfeeding when a patient is admitted to the hospital, there are concerns about the medications used in anesthesia, pain medications and any antibiotics that might be necessary. Many physicians are unfamiliar with whether medications that are commonly used in fact pass into breast milk. In fact, if you read the product inserts of most medications, the drug companies themselves often discourage breastfeeding while a mother is using their medications. This is true even for medications that have been found to be safe.
The conservative recommendations about breastfeeding when taking medications comes from a concern about possible lawsuits should problems occur. They are not usually based on sound scientific studies of the specific medication and its appearance in breast milk.

General anesthesia should not affect breastfeeding. You can safely nurse once you are awake and alert enough to hold your baby. By that time, the amount of medication in your bloodstream is low enough that the amounts in your milk would not be significant. The point at which you wake up after general anesthesia is the point where enough of the drug has left your system that it no longer has an effect

A što je sa spinalnom, smije li se i nakon nje dojiti? U zadnje vrijeme stalno čitam da u rodilištima ne dozvoljavaju dojenje 24 sata ili više nakon spinalne. Ima li to smisla?

da je to mlijeko kontaminirano trebalo bi ga izdojiti pa baciti. A to se ne radi. Zašto onda ne bi smjelo dijete posisati svoju papicu.
Ja sam dojila odmah nakon spinalne. O je bilo 10-tak dana
Ne dozvoljavaju dojenje jer treba 24 sata ležati na leđima, mirno, da se izgubi anestetik iz tog prostora uz moždinu. A i noge su ti oduzete, ne vladaš tijelom, ne znam da li bi se mogla namjestiti (nisam iskusila, imala sam opću).
Pa i ako ležiš na boku, neće ti ta tekućina doći do glave. I ne može ta tekućina u trenutku "odletiti" u glavu, potrebno je ipak malo duže biti u uspravnom položaju nego što ti treba da se okreneš s leđa na bok.

Epidural During Birth May Negatively Affect Breast-Feeding Mon Dec 11, 2:01 PM ET
MONDAY, Dec. 11 (HealthDay News) -- Women who receive an epidural during childbirth are more likely to have breast-feeding problems in the first week and to stop breast-feeding before the end of six months than women who don't receive an epidural, an Australian study says.
The study, published in the Dec. 11 International Breastfeeding Journal, included 1,280 women who gave birth between March 1997 and October 1997. Of the 416 (33 percent) women who had an epidural, 172 (41 percent) had a Caesarean section.
Researchers found that 93 percent of the women in the study breast-fed their baby in the first week after birth. However, women who had an epidural were significantly more likely to have difficulty breast-feeding during the first few days after delivery and to breast-feed less often than other women.
At 24 weeks, 72 percent of women who did not have an epidural were breast-feeding, compared with 53 percent who received pethidine or epidurals containing bupivacaine and fentanyl (an opioid).
The findings contribute to the growing body of evidence that the fentanyl component of epidurals may be associated with breast-feeding difficulties, the study authors said.
In an accompanying commentary, Sue Jordan, senior lecturer in applied therapeutics at Swansea University, said that the effect of opioids and epidurals on breast-feeding should be regarded as an "adverse drug reaction."
She called for "extra support to be offered to the most vulnerable women, to ensure that their infants are not disadvantaged by this hidden, but far-reaching, adverse drug reaction."
