Article Text: Text of report by Bosnian Serb news agency SRNA Banja Luka, 9 July: Over the last 24 hours, three new patients suffering from meningitis have been admitted to the Banja Luka-based Infectious Diseases Clinic, clinic spokesman Marko Radoja has confirmed to SRNA.
He said that this brings the number of cases with the illness so far to 66,
17 of which are still being hospitalized while the rest of them have been discharged to receive medical treatment at home.
According to him, the number of new patients who are diagnosed with the symptoms of the disease means that the epidemic, which was declared in Banja Luka on 16 June, is not abating.
Doctors at the Infectious Diseases Clinic have been awaiting to receive from Italy the result on the type of virus which is causing the illness.
